Wildfires

This has been a bad year for so many people, unemployment, accidents, flooding, hurricanes, and fires. But it is different when it happens to people you care about, and you see the news reports everywhere on TV and the computer.
I live outside of Houston, for over 35 years now and know the pain of hurricanes, but have never , thank God, had to deal with fire. But this week Texas, in the small town of Bastrop, there has already been over 14,000 acres destroyed and over 300 homes. This is my hometown, and it really hit me last night as I watched the pictures of the large fire and the people and animals having to be evacuated. Have been worried about old friends that I went to school with and their families and have prayed that they are okay. So I am going to keep my post short today and hope that somehow they will get this horrible fire under control,and/or Texas will receive the much needed rain it needs. Everybody keep safe.
